Justin’s creative decisions and approach begins from the most essential starting point - Empathy. Through a meticulous thought and preparation process, he strives to move images beyond superficial aesthetics and elevate them toward the deeper functional purposes of emotional subtext, sensitivity, and thematic representation.

He generally leans toward a classic, mature style that focuses heavily on the core tenets of what a narrative image is: Composition, Placement, Lensing, Exposure, Color.

This also means shying away from current cinematographic trends, fads and gimmicks such as unwarranted movement, meaningless lens flares, unnecessary image artifacts. Nothing that isn’t narratively relevant.

Justin is a graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory, and has spent over a decade prior cultivating the craft and evolving his unique and uncompromising vision. His calm, confident disposition and collaborative nature makes for an ideal creative partner across all genres.
